Unsubscribe

I keep hearing the word “unsubscribe.”

“Unsubscribe”

Who has an email account?

Typically our email accounts get too full with unnecessary emails, promotions, spam, and social media notifications.

The process to clean up all the junk mail is:

-First step: Log into our email account.

-Second step: We have to purposefully click on what needs to go in the trash.

-Third step: realize that just deleting those emails isn’t enough, they will come back again with another promotion or new notifications.

To make them go away forever, we have to go to fourth step.

-The Fourth step: Find the tiny “unsubscribe” button that’s normally hidden at the bottom of an email and hit “unsubscribe.”

Then a pop up asks you if you are sure.

-The Fifth step: Hit delete.

Normally, that email goes to the delete file. Even though it’s been deleted, it’s still there.

You can still retrieve it if necessary. It can come back if you want it to.

-The Sixth step:

You have to get into your delete folder and find the “delete forever” option.

To get rid of it from your email account you have to click “delete forever.”

I thought this was the final and only step.

But there is one more step the Holy Spirit showed me.

-The Seventh Step:

Even though it’s deleted.

It’s still there on the hard drive.

Forensics can find it.

Some of us we have been dealing with the same sin over and over and can’t seem to get rid of it. It may be time to wipe clean the hard drive. Some of us it may be time to permanently Delete that email account. For some of us we need to get rid of the computer.

Regarding our emotional, physical & spiritual lives, some of us need to hit the “Unsubscribe” button.

We need to go to the delete folder and hit “delete forever.”

Some of you may be wondering why the same issues you’ve been set free from keep coming back.

It’s because some of us need to go into our secret sin deleted folder that we are too ashamed to admit we have and expose, confess, repent, cancel, and hit “delete forever.”

In our spiritual lives we need to hit “unsubscribe” on anything that is spamming or consuming our thoughts and our lives. (Phil 4:6-8)

Unsubscribe and delete any voices that aren’t from the Lord.

Tune out all the other noises, so we can tune into the heart beat of God and His voice only.

Whatever is consuming our time the most, we need to Unsubscribe!

Whatever is keeping us away from The throne room, we must Unsubscribe!

Whatever is keeping us from worshipping in spirit and in truth. Unsubscribe!

Whatever is causing us to be filled with anxiety. Unsubscribe! Cancel! Delete!

Whatever is keeping us depressed. Unsubscribe! Cancel! Delete! Delete Forever!

Whatever is keeping us from the Holy of Holies. Unsubscribe! Cancel! Delete! Delete Forever! Uproot! Throw the computer away!

Whatever is keeping us addicted. Unsubscribe! Cancel! Delete Forever! Cancel the email account.

Whatever is keeping us from being delivered.

Unsubscribe! Cancel! Delete Forever! Reboot! We need a new system.

Whatever is keeping us from being all in, sold out for Jesus, and crucified with Christ.

Unsubscribe! Cancel! Delete Forever! Time for a Holy Spirit upgrade.

The enemy wants our time.

The enemy wants to keep us distracted.

The enemy wants to keep us busy.

The enemy will do whatever it takes to steal our relationship with Jesus.

The enemy wants to divide our thoughts and attention.

The enemy wants to keep families divided like he’s been doing since Cain, Abel and Joseph and his brothers and many other families in the Bible.

This isn’t a new tactic of the enemy. It’s an old one. When families are too busy dealing with strife, guess what isn’t being built? The Kingdom of God isn’t being built.

Personal and family revivals aren’t happening because we are too busy falling for the enemies age old tactic of dividing us.

Maybe some of us need to go through our phones, social media, entertainment and unsubscribe!

We need to cancel and delete anything in our lives that is filling it with distractions, limiting us to a conditional, convenient and lukewarm Christian lifestyle.

Whatever is keeping us from seeing miracles, signs, and wonders.

Unsubscribe! Delete! Cancel! Delete Forever! Uproot! Confess! Repent!

Whatever is keeping us from intercession.

Unsubscribe!

Whatever is keeping us offended.

Unsubscribe!

It seems like we usually don’t intentionally “subscribe” to many of those emails. Just like the enemy, they try to invade our lives and our minds;

knowing that our minds are God’s precious property and where our mind goes, we go.

We have to intentionally “Unsubscribe” Cancel and Delete, then fill it with the Truth of God’s Word and nothing contrary.

Here is how you apply this unsubscribe lifestyle to your everyday life:

Does this movie glorify God? If not, delete.

Does this tv show that I’m watching glorify God?

If not, cancel. Get rid of the streaming service.

Does this song glorify God?

Does this behavior glorify God?

Does my speech glorify God?

Does my attitude glorify God?

Does my relationships glorify God?

Does my daily habits glorify God?

Does my personal life glorify God?

Some of us it’s time to stop unsubscribing to the wrong things and start Subscribing, submitting, surrendering to all things holy, pure, lovely, true, honorable, worthy,
